I haven't touched my blog for a while, but I continued working. The garden gates are opening again to welcome friends. More and more people are being vaccinated in Toronto. The most fragile, the essential workers, the First Nations have been vaccinated first, and that is good. But the earth is getting worse and is forgotten in these troubled times. We need Nature more and more to heal and replenish us.
At the request of the Canoe Foundation, I composed this paddle which will soon be on sale to raise funds for First Nations and the Environment. I chose the theme of water and the protective mother, dedicated to Josephine Mandamin and her work.
I was also very grateful when my painting Winter on Lake Ontario was chosen by the l’ Artist Network of Leslieville to be part of the online exhibition A View from Here
But my goal still remains, as I decided in March 2020, to give myself two years to research, progress and mount an exhibition dedicated to my love of Nature.
This was a completely different matter to open La boutique de JOZ Art&Nature online to sell prints of my recent paintings on posters, bags, scarves, puzzles and more.
Life goes on!
